Strike at Berlin’s airports
Due to strike action of ground staff at Berlin’s airports Schönefeld and Tegel there is severe disruption of air traffic from 13 March approx. 4 a.m. until 15 March approx. 5 a.m.
After the end of the strike action restrictions in air traffic may continue. If you are travelling to Greifswald over Berlin, please enquire in advance about the current status of your flights.

 The congress building houses the registration desk, the media check room, the session rooms as well as the industrial exhibition.

Poster Presentations & Get Together:

The poster sessions will take place in the poster tent (located in the courtyard of the historical campus, within 5 minutes walking distance from the congress building) and in the Konferenzsaal, close to the poster tent.
 The Get-Together on Thursday evening will take place immediately after the poster session in the Konferenzsaal, close to the poster tent.

Public transportation

The congress venue is located in the city center of Greifswald, within 10 minutes walking distance from the central station (Hauptbahnhof).

From the central bus terminal (ZOB) – which is next to the central train station – you can also take following bus lines (journey 5 minutes):

Bus Line 2, stop „Dompassage”
Bus Line 3, stop „Dompassage”

Both lines run through the city center where most of the hotels are located.

Travelling to Greifswald

....By train:
Greifswald is situated on the Stralsund-Berlin line and can thus be reached with both the Intercity and the regional express trains with a direct connection from Berlin.
From Greifswald main station, you can quickly get to the the congress venue in the town centre. 

Berlin - Greifswald: Trains run to Greifswald once every hour. The train ride from Berlin to Greifswald takes around 2.5/ 3 hours.
Hamburg - Greifswald: The train ride from Hamburg to Greifswald takes between three and five hours. There are regular connections. You will need to change trains in Stralsund, Lübeck or Rostock.

....By plane:
The closest airports to Greifswald are Rostock (100 km), Berlin-Tegel / Berlin-Schönefeld (260 km) as well as Hamburg (270 km).
Once arrived in Germany, you can hire a car to drive to Greifswald or you can use the train service of Deutsche Bahn. A detailed timetable for the train connections can be obtained at the travel service of the Deutsche Bahn. From Berlin to Greifswald you need app. 2,5/ 3 hours by train.

Alternatively, you may also look for a bus connection to Greifswald, e.g. with FlixBus.

....By car:

Greifswald can be easily reached via the Baltic Sea motorway A20.

From the direction of Berlin, exit the A20 at junction 27 toward Gützkow and take the B96 to Greifswald.
From Berlin, y
ou will need to plan on two to three hours driving time, either via the B96 Oranienburg/Neubrandenburg toward Greifswald, or the A11 to Prenzlau, A20 to Greifswald.

If you’re travelling from the direction of Hamburg, take the exit at junction 25 toward Greifswald. You will need to plan on two to three hours driving time: A1 toward Lübeck, A20 to Hansestadt Greifswald
